About CPIMB
3 Meetings Per Year
The Music Boosters meet three times per year. These meetings are open to all parents and students in the College Park Instrumental Music Program.   This year's meetings will take place on the following dates at 7pm in the Music Room (M-1):

CPIMB is also known by “Falcon Band Boosters of College Park” and as such is designated as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.

The College Park Instrumental Music Boosters (CPIMB) is our parent organization supporting all aspects of our Instrumental Music Program. Through active fundraising, donations, and volunteer organization, parents provide a variety of resources for the program as listed below. 

Through participation, the Boosters provide practical assistance to students by helping to plan trips, chaperone events, maintain the facilities, and more.

The Boosters are led by the Board of Directors, which include the elected offices of President, VP1, VP2, Treasurer, and Secretary. Others assume responsibility for particular events or resources. The Directors of Instrumental Music communicate regularly with the Board of Directors and makes known the financial and practical needs of the program. Our Music Directors may also solicit input from the Boosters in making decisions that affect the educational growth of our students.


  1. Sheet Music Purchase
    College Park maintains a music library of over 4,000 titles. Sheet music is organized into four main areas; Concert Band, String Orchestra, Full Orchestra and Jazz Band. CPIMB fully funds all music purchases every school year and helps to maintain our music library.
  2. Instrument Purchase
    College Park maintains a large instrument inventory of all types of instruments needed for a high school music program. Many of these instruments are too expensive for individual families to purchase, so they are purchased through CPIMB. Instruments are available for use during the school year for all students.
  3. Instrument Repair
    Having a large instrument inventory requires a budget to keep all instruments in good repair. CPIMB is able to supplement our district repair budget with additional funds every year to help maintain instruments.
  4. Uniforms
    All students are provided appropriate concert attire for performances. CPIMB maintains a large uniform inventory of tuxedos & black dresses for student use. Students always have the option to purchase their own concert attire or check out concert attire for the school year issued by CPIMB.
  5. Transportation & Festival Fees
    Every year, College Park ensembles attend off-campus festivals and require safe and appropriate transportation. CPIMB pays for charter bus transport of students and instruments. In addition to transportation, CPIMB also covers registration fees for all festival performances.
  6. Coaches & Clinicians
    In order to support our full time music directors and the development of our student musicians, CPIMB covers the cost of maintaining a staff of instrumental coaches that work with students once per week, supporting the classroom rehearsal. In addition to coaches, CPIMB also covers the cost of bringing in guest clinicians to work with students.
