Ms. Alexa Tsarnas received her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Music from Sonoma State University.  While attending SSU, she was an active member of the University’s wind ensemble, brass ensemble, choir, local orchestra, and various chamber groups.  She has been the accompanist for various high school choirs and soloists from the University.  As a part of receiving her credential, Ms. Tsarnas taught in Petaluma at Casa Grande High School’s Music Department for the 2014/15 school year, as well as teaching music at Miwok Valley and La Tercera Elementary Schools.  She has always wanted to teach high school music, and looks forward to continue teaching at the high school level.  She hopes to eventually work towards receiving a Masters in conducting or music education.  Ms. Tsarnas is a member of the National Association for Music Education, California Music Educators Association, and is the Past President of the Sonoma State University Music Education Club.
